Platform Features

  • World building using content shared with the community by joining groups on AltspaceVR and getting access to user-generated content.
  • Create your own private worlds using free accessible kits and templates provided by Altspace and shared by community users. You can convert your world to an event space instance and host an event if you choose to have a launch party for your world.
  • Create ‘apps’ for the platform using MRE development SDK that uses NodeJS servers to manage the instance.
  • Create and host your events free of charge – Anyone can host an event and Altspace has a huge range of events daily to attend ranging from talk shows, presentations, collaboration meetups and more.

Requirements to join AltspaceVR

  • Must be aged 13+ to join to be able to use the platform but this platform is mainly populated by adult users.
  • Have a compatible VR headset or PC or MacOS device
  • A Microsoft account that you have access to confirm your account

AltspaceVR is mainly an event platform

There are many events to choose from and you can check online by the AltspaceVR website logged in. You will also see the events in your local time zone for your convenience.
