Before you start
Focus on a comfortable headset setup, reliable audio and enough clear space to move safely.
- Charge your headset and controllers
- Check microphone and headphone levels
- Clear your play space
- Use seated mode whenever it feels more comfortable
Set up your profile
Choose a recognisable name, write a short introduction and keep personal information private. You can refine your appearance later.
Choose comfortable movement
Start with teleport movement and snap turning if smooth locomotion feels uncomfortable. Take short breaks and stop if you feel unwell.
Find people and places
Begin with public welcome spaces, then use the resource directory to find communities, events and familiar hosts.
Bring the old spirit forward
Be welcoming, respect personal space, listen to event hosts and remember there is a real person behind every avatar.
