There is a recent update that wasn’t announced but worth mentioning because this will be a time and problem saver when it comes to events.
You can now disable the ability to create a portal in event instances by going into advanced settings in your menu event and ticking the ‘Disable portals’ tickbox.
Users who attempt to create a portal will get a message saying that portals have been disabled.
This is a much-requested feature that finally has been implemented which will create fewer problems at events with new users in particular who get in trouble for creating a portal.
Particularly why this feature is well received is that moderators usually spend most of their events with their heads on a swivel looking for portals and kicking and telling people off. This will eliminate that factor meaning moderators can spend less time kicking and educating people on courtesy rules.
