Trying Skybox AI
Skybox AI uses a simple prompt with the ability to remix and change the design option of the skybox from realism to oil paint options for your outputs.
Output:
Sometimes the prompt doesn’t always get what you want the first time, so try modifying the prompt in different ways for changes in results. The results are also random so it may be worth trying multiple times before altering your prompt.
Prompt #2: “Looking up at the moon from the city. The moon is covered with greenery after terraforming and the city is reflecting up the lights into the sky.”
Output:
Hmm still no luck, let’s modify the prompt further and change the type from Modern Computer Animation to Sky for different results:
Prompt #3: “Looking up at the moon from the city. The moon is covered with greenery after terraforming and the city is reflecting up the lights into the sky.. The moon should be covered in green and glowing a slight green light from the reflection of the sun onto the moon.”
Output:
Wait stop, isn’t this suppose to give me what I actually want?
Yes and no, AI is not perfect and it does require some reverse engineering and thinking outside of the box. However, if you want to pay someone to come up with various designs for you to get what you want, you should probably do that. 😉
However, sometimes it’s worth trying a different whole set of prompt:
“Terraformed moon that is filled with greenery and lushes flowers”
Almost there, let’s take out the solar system part of the prompt and try using realistic as our generator option.

20 minutes later…
Banging my head around. Okay it isn’t perfect and sometimes you just have to try different options and be committed to it. But the quality of the skyboxes is hit or miss depending on chance. But while trying to generate one particular skybox I ended up saving about 5 of them because they showed the moon in great detail and the 360 image was without any graphical hiccups.
Which is why I still recommend you play with this tool, as I have created many skyboxes for these worlds and even have a gallery that you can download generated skyboxes I have personally created for free.
